The EU Instant Payments Regulation requires payment service providers that offer euro instant credit transfers to screen their customers against EU sanctions lists at least daily, and again immediately whenever those lists change, on a rail that settles within ten seconds. In November 2025, the SWIFT MT coexistence period ended, moving cross-border payments onto ISO 20022 and the structured data its messages carry.
Compliance teams are screening faster payments that hold more data than before, and screening systems designed around overnight batch files and legacy message formats struggle to keep up.
FinScan Payments provides native ISO 20022 screening, reading the structured party data in the message itself rather than a translated version of it, which legacy conversion to older formats strips out. That is where precise matching starts. In competitive displacements, this precision has reduced alert volume 3-5x at speed (sub-100ms per transaction) and at scale. Stop by our booth to see how Nordic firms are handling higher volumes as they move onto real-time rails.
We look forward to connecting with the Nordic fintech community in Copenhagen.
